Stone Mountain trip

We went to Stone Mountain with Josh, Renee, and Benjamin. It was a lot of fun! We left Saturday Morning and went to Stone Mountain Park that night.(It was soooo crowded) We had gotten free return tickets, so we went back Sunday and it was less crowded and we got to do some of the stuff that is only available during the day. Then we drove back Sunday night.

Lacie taking steps on her own!!

Lacie started taking steps without support the day after her first birthday. I was hanging up the Christmas wreath on the door and Lacie was trying to get to me. Jeff was sitting across the room just watching her. She pulled up on one of our chairs in the living room and cruised all the way to the end of it. Then she reached out for the Christmas tree box that was still out, but it was more than an arms length away. So she took a step on her own and made it to the box. So then Jeff and I sat across from each other and had her go back and forth between us and she would take two and three steps on her own! Of course, I tried to get the camera out and capture some footage but of course that never goes as planned but you can tell what she is doing.

The messy face and Present time!!

Happy 1st Birthday party!!

We had Lacie's first birthday party this past Saturday, Nov 17th. Her birthday is the 22nd but it lands on Thanksgiving this year so we celebrated early. She did really good. She wasn't really sure why everyone was standing around staring at her and singing to her and taking pictures of her. She kinda had a strange look on her face for awhile. With a little help, she really enjoyed her cake. She loved the dot and I think touched just about all of them. She had a good time and Brodie wanted to join her, eating the cake. Wow, I can't believe it's already been a year!

Pumpkin patch fun!

We went to the Pumpkin patch in Hayden with Josh,Renee,Benjamin and Adrian,Jeny, and Brodie. We rode the hayride out to the patch and picked out a pumpkin. It was really hot that day. We went on a Sunday afternoon. We took the kids to look at the farm animals and then got a funnel cake for the road. Lacie wore her onesie that I painted with potato stamps. It has three pumpkins on it and says "pumkin pie"

Random fun pics

Lacie in her cute bathrobe!
Chilling on mommy and daddy's bed! I made Lacie a little boxcar out of the Pamper's box. Not quite the same as the one my mom made for me when I was little but Lacie had fun in it.

Lacie laughing

Here's a little clip of Lacie playing on the bed and laughing from Youth Congress!

First Carousel Ride!

Lacie went on the carousel with her daddy when we were in North Carolina with the youth group. Brodie went on with his dad too and of course Jeny and I were like the baby paparazzi! Lacie did really good staying on the horse. Jeff said when she saw me standing on the sidelines she decided that was enough and wanted him to hold her.

Birmingham Zoo

We went to the zoo the other day with Jeny and Brodie. It was Lacie's first trip to the Birmingham Zoo. She had been to the Louisville Zoo in June. The two animals that she was able to see very good were the giraffe and the tiger. The tiger scared her because it was pacing so close to the glass. I was trying to get a pic of it with her looking at it but she started crying so we had to move along. He was kinda scary to me so I can only imagine how huge he looked to her.
