Our second Michigan trip this year
We went to Michigan to see my dad's mom. She was recently diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and only give a few months to live as her prognosis. So we packed up (me 36 weeks pregnant and Lacie 21 months) and drove 12 hours to Michigan. We survived the trip. We had already gone up in May because my mom's dad died. It really is a looooong drive and is not fun when you are BIG pregnant. Needless to say we made frequent stops.
Lacie was a trooper and did awesome in her car seat!
Me, Kara and Billie in front of the Michigan stadium. We walked all around the stadium. (Hot!!) We must have been a site because my dad had his cane(from recent knee surgery) We were wore out.
Lacie rehydrating on our long walk!
Grandma Meehan- she actually looked pretty good. We got word yesterday that she slipped into a coma and hospice says she probably only has a week left.
Lacie with her cool glasses and piggy tails!
Kaden James!
Kaden is scheduled to come on 9/22 if he doesn't decide to come before. Dr. Kennedy said she would induce 7-10 days before my actual due date so we set up an appt for the 22nd yesterday! Very excited! He and Lacie will both have birthdays on the 22nd of their months so they will be exactly 22 months apart!
Lacie and Kaden's room
We repainted the nursery. Lacie is going to share a room with Kaden so we decided to do a half and half girl/boy room. I found the stripe/ polka dot idea on the HGTV website. It took awhile but with help from "Pops", Dana, Billie and Kara, Jeff and I got it done! (well almost still have to finish a few of the polka dots)
Lacie helping paint the room! She loved trying to get into the paint!
The long taping process to get the stripes on the walls

Finished product! The blue striped/polka dot wall is my favorite!
I still have to add a few more polka dots to the pink wall!
